I want to start today’s post by wishing Pavement Runner a very happy birthday! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting when he came to Toronto a few years ago and then we got to hang out again in Phoenix just a few months ago. He is quite the incredible person! A lot of us have been tweeting him photos of ourselves doing “The Pavey” while wishing him a Happy Birthday. If you’re not familiar with “The Pavey”, it looks a little something like this:
He does this in every. single. photo. and I LOVE IT!! I’m pretty confident I nailed the whole look:

Yesterday I posted my race recap and talked about the Toronto Women’s 5K/Half Marathon which I was able to participate in on Sunday. The race photos went up today so I thought I’d share a little more about the race!! Once I was finished running the 5K, I took a bit of time to cool down and chat with some friends. I waited for some of the other Mizuno girls to finish and a few hours into the half marathon, we decided to run back onto the course and find the last few women making their trek to the finish line. I can’t even begin to explain how much fun this was. It was such an incredible experience to be alongside these amazing women as they were accomplishing something big. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Here are a few of my favourites:
All of the race photos were free, too! How amazing is that?! Huge thanks to Mizuno Canada and the Toronto Women’s Runs Series for the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful event. There are two other races this year – a 5K/10K on August 29th and a 5K/8K on October 24th – so try and come out if you can!! It was such a GREAT day!
