Remember that Justin’s hazelnut chocolate butter I got from Swanson’s?
It’s finished. Didn’t last long at all. I think it’s safe to say that I could live off that stuff for the rest of my life and be a very happy person. Now if I can just get Mr. Justin to sponsor me so that I don’t go broke from buying copious amounts of nut butter. Who am I kidding?! That’ll probably happen anyway.
So last night was the BostonStrongTO run an was it ever epic. I don’t know if you know, but Pavement Runner started this movement and it went GLOBAL. He planned for his own city to get together on Monday night, exactly one week after the Boston bombings. People caught on and BostonStrong happened pretty much everywhere. Thousand of runners came together around the world on the same night for something so special. Phaedra organized it for Toronto and we had a great turnout:
We ran just under 6K in Toronto’s (kinda) famous High Park. It was so nice to see people come together and do something special. One gentleman (I can’t remember his name) even brought us bibs! They were giving these out at the expo for the 10K I ran on Sunday so he grabbed some extras for this event. How sweet and thoughtful!
Phaedra actually ran the Boston Marathon this year and wrote a great post about her experience. Definitely check it out. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to be there while all that craziness was going down.
She is such a wonderful person and my newest blog friend turned real life friend!
I won’t lie, I was pretty sore even just running the 5K. My entire body hurts and I can’t understand why. I know I ran hard on Sunday and usually I get sore legs from that but my abs and back muscles are so tender. I must have been running like a crazy person to get to that finish line. I have no other explanation.
Favourite nut butter brand and flavour…GO.
