Yesterday I had a day off work but it wasn’t as glorious as days off work should be. I had to fight a speeding ticket which I got back in January. It was my first ticket ever and I was a nervous wreck going into court but it all worked out. I pleaded guilty and they reduced the charge and didn’t take off any demerit points. Note to self: never speed again. Not only is it dangerous but going to court isn’t a fun experience.
One positive thing about not going to work:
Extra morning cuddle time with my main squeeze. Sometimes I want to squish him so hard to see if he’s even real. Tip: buy a cozy fleece blanket from Costco to put over your fancy duvet so that your dog doesn’t tear it up like he did to the last one.
It was also my day off from exercise yesterday so I got to be lazy, reorganize the linen closet (I actually enjoy things like this), and eat all day. I conveniently “found” this peppermint bark:
I know peanut butter and chocolate go well together but I think the peppermint chocolate combo trumps all things. Perfect combo if you ask me.
This morning I did a little strength training at the gym and 20 minutes of easy cardio on the elliptical but tonight I am supposed to be hill training. Hills never get any easier for me so I thought I’d read up on it and maybe learn some things that will help me mentally and physically. I found this article that gives some really good tips on both ascending and descending.
Easy breezy, right…? Wish me luck!
