Hello and happy Friday! I’m feeling a bit off today. Not sure if it’s the weather (super grey and raining), the fact that my photo shoot had to be cancelled because of said weather, or because I didn’t get enough sleep. I’ve already spent part of my morning cleaning and will most likely do a lot of nothing for the rest of the day. My body is a bit sore after last night’s #HereToCreate workout so I’m going to take it easy, hoping I’ll feel good for tomorrow’s long run.
Lots of upper body work in Julian’s Athleticon class last night. I felt like my arms were going to break. Why are renegade rows SO HARD?! It was difficult for me but the class went by super fast (as usual) and we had a great ending to the class. This month Julian is trying something new. We break off into groups and have conversations around a topic, not necessarily related to fitness. Last night we talked about our FEARS. It was really nice to get personal and maybe a little vulnerable too. We had great conversations and I loved hearing what everybody had to say. Today I just wanted to share a few of my favourite pieces that I recently got at Sport Chek. I know I’ve mentioned it on Instagram but not sure if I talked about it on here yet – I have officially become a Sport Chek Ambassador for the next few months and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been working with them for years, usually on and off depending on campaign frequency and duration, but they’ve started a new Ambassador program and I am feeling pretty lucky to be a part of it. I love the company, I love the people behind the company, I love the variety of product that they offer, and I love being part of the #SweatBetter community.
Now let’s get to BUSINESS. I linked what I could but some of the things are not online. Everything is recent so you should be able to find the items in store.
adidas originals Bananas Supergirl Track Jacket – Need I say more? The colours. The bananas. It’s perfect. I’ve only worn this a couple of times but I get compliments on it like crazy. It has a cute, shorter, bomber-like fit and looks great with both athletic wear or a pair of jean shorts.
adidas Sportswear Branded Tights – I just liked the look of these when I first saw them but once I put them on, I fell in love even more. The fabric is super lightweight, they have a comfortable waistband and the length is perfect. I almost always have issued with full-length tights being too long but these ones are great.
adidas Pure Boost X Training Shoes – I don’t use these for running but I do love them for cross-training or even just wearing casually. They are designed specifically for women and have a floating arch – I thought this felt a bit strange at first but I’ve grown to really love the fit. They are light but at the same time feel really supportive.
Flipbelt – This is a great alternative to wearing an armband to carry your phone/cards/keys. The belt is basically one continuous pocket with little slots for you to slide all of your things into. It comes in several colours AND sizes as they are not adjustable.
adidas Women’s Keyhole Tank – THIS. This tank is everything. I started out with a grey one and then went back to get pink, purple, and teal. Had to have them all. I love the fit – not super tight or restrictive in the least. The climalite fabric is really thin so it’s lightweight and wicks away sweat – perfect for these really hot days we’ve been experiencing! I’m not usually one to run in a sports bra when it’s super hot so this tank is the next best thing. Almost feels like you have nothing on.
Bodyglide – I don’t know what it is, but I only chafe in the summer. I can wear the exact same outfit all year round but it’s only during the really hot months where my skin feels irritated by my clothing. Must be the heat and extra sweat or something! I now never leave home without bodygliding my body. Not sure why they made a pink one “for her” as I’ve used the regular one and it’s exactly the same!
adidas ultra boosts – Yeah, yeah…I know I don’t need another pair but LOOK AT THEM. I know I sound like a broken record but these are the best shoes I have ever owned for running. I have a serious obsession with them. It’s a new colour way and they aren’t online yet – I saw them at the Yorkdale location. So, so nice.
Aaaaand that’s it for today! Hope you have an awesome weekend!
