Three days in a row now… look at me go! 😉 Thanks to those of you who took the time to comment on yesterday’s post. It’s reassuring to know that I’m not alone when it comes to balancing everything going on in my life!
I didn’t do a training update yet this week, mostly because I didn’t run much last week due to being sick but I want to keep up with my logging. I’m not going to lie, I started to have all these negative thoughts about the Golden Ultra. I know I still have almost three months of training to go but I feel really behind and am starting to stress a little about not bing able to finish/being to slow for Emz. I haven’t even run on a trail yet and have no idea how I’m going to survive. I realized that panicking is a choice. I can either continue to feel like I’m not doing enough or I can decide to change. This week I am going to do my best to follow my training schedule (though I’m starting to feel like my sickness is turning into strep throat…so there’s that) and I’m going to try and round up a friend or two and plan a trail run.
Last week’s training (or lack thereof):
Friday: 6.22 miles + bodyweight circuit
Sunday: 4.47 miles
TOTAL: 10.69 miles
I pushed myself to get out and run twice but neither of those runs felt great. I’m hoping to go in and see my doctor again today because the meds she gave me last week are definitely not working! Crossing my fingers that I get some relief soon.
I also wanted to tell you guys about the custom shoes I designed on adidas.ca! Remember how I ordered those custom tights a few weeks ago?? Well, they arrived last week and they are so cute. I am going to take some photos in them soon. Anyway, back to the shoes. I’ve seen the custom feature for footwear before but it was only on certain shoes, none of which I had ever worn. They just added the PureBOOST X to the lineup and I was so excited when I found out! I already have a few pairs of these and I absolutely love the way they feel. I wear them to the #HereToCreate classes every week and they are the perfect cross training shoe. Here is one pair that adidas sent me last month:
I usually get stressed out when I have to design something because all of the options are so nice and I have such a hard time deciding. This time I knew exactly what I wanted! I missed out on the triple white ultra boost (aka they were impossible to find) so I’ve been wanting a really fresh looking pair of all white sneakers ever since. These are the ones I designed:
**I believe these are the first edition PureBOOST X as they are slightly different than the ones I’m wearing in the photo above.
There are so many different colours, patterns and materials to choose from. You get to choose every little thing – laces, stripe colour, sole, you name it! Mine were easy because I literally just chose white for everything with the exception of the light grey outsole but you can cheek out all of the options HERE and design a pair for yourself if you’d like!
Custom orders take 3-5 weeks so I will have them in time to wear for a while before summer disappears on us! They are $155 (non-custom pure boost x are $130) which I think is a great price point! For just an extra $25 you can control all of the little details and make them your very own.
Also – registration for next week’s adidas #HereToCreate class opens tomorrow at 9am so sign up at HereToCreate.ca if you want to join us!
Have a great Wednesday!
