So I was going through my photos on my iPhone (because who really takes pictures with a camera anymore?) and noticed all of my recent eats were…let’s just say NOT what I usually eat. That’s not to say I haven’t been eating my healthy foods. I totally have…but I’ve also been going out and treating myself a lot more than normal. Looks like birthday week turned into birthday month!!
Sweet potato fries. Need I say more?
These were accompanied by a salad. Do I at least get bonus points for that?
Pretzel M&Ms…because when you watch Amazing Race Canada you need to eat treats, especially when it’s the finale.
Leftover ice cream cake from my family birthday party. Mocha almond fudge. I kind of dream about this cake at night.
Arancini or ‘rice balls’ also known as deep fried balls of rice and mozzarella.
Bite size = you can eat at least three and still feel good about yourself.
I actually prefer thick crust pizza but I went out to eat at an Italian restaurant last night and they only make those fancy thin crust ones so I had to settle. I couldn’t eat it all but now I have leftovers and that is never a bad thing. Once these leftovers are done though…it’s GAME ON.
Cheese. Ice cream. Chocolate. I have been eating way too much dairy and my body is surprisingly still functioning. Time to let that go because it’s starting to make me feel gross.
Plan of action: lots of plant-based goodies (and Quest bars…cannot.stop.eating.quest.bars). I’m going back to my oats, quinoa/veggie bowls, smoothies, and kale salads because, well, I have another trip coming up and I want to feel good! I should change my blog name to The Traveltarian. But here’s a tip from me: when you are given good deals and fantastic opportunities, take them. Travelling is one of the most wonderful things in the world.
Thick or thin crust pizza?
Pretzel/peanut/PB/almond/plain chocolate M&Ms? Don’t say you don’t like chocolate.
Did you make any goals for September? Are you on track?
