Have you joined Under Armour’s What’s Beautiful party yet?! I’ve talked about it a couple of times already and it is really helping to keep me motivated! It’s like having a huge group of accountability partners. You are declaring your goal and putting it out there in such a big way that you just want to crush it so you can prove to yourself and everyone else watching that you CAN. Last week I posted some “I WILL” goals for the week and I met them all except the salad one… I had a big green salad almost every day. My water intake was definitely higher but I still don’t think it was enough for my activity level. There were a few nights where I went to bed feeling really dehydrated. My mouth was dry and my lips were soooo chapped. I’m keeping the water drinking goal on this week’s “I WILL” list because I definitely know I need to still work on that.
When I talk about “UAWB challenges” I am referring to Under Armour What’s Beautiful (it’s just too long to fit on the graphic!).
My legs are so sore from yesterday’s race (I almost fell down the stairs at work today hah) so I really need to make foam rolling and stretching a priority this week. Now that the race is over I can focus a little more on strength training so I’m super excited about that. I’m in the process of making a new plan that incorporates an equal amount of strength training and cardio since cardio has been at the forefront for the last little while. I’m still going to try and maintain my running though since the Lululemon half is just over two months away and I am DETERMINED TO PR. Speaking of…
I got my shorts in the mail today!!! Everyone who registers for the SeaWheeze half marathon gets a pair of Lululemon Speed Shorts. I am in love with the pattern and they make a great addition to my already existing collection of about 15 pairs.
Okay last but not least…I really, really need your help. At the beginning of the year I set a few “new years” goals. One of them was to be able to do 50 pushups by the end of the year. I haven’t even started towards working on this yet because I hate pushups more than anything (they are tied with squat jumps and burpees, actually). I just find them SO HARD. For those of you who can smash out pushups like it’s your part-time job, do you have any tips on what helped you when you were learning? PLEASE AND THANK YOU! I want to be a badass who can beat boys at pushup contests. Hah.
