Heyooooo!! So I’m already packed for Vegas… Well, I was packed a few days ago because I get a little bit crazy and hate the stress of doing anything last minute. I leave on Sunday and cannot wait to roast in the ridiculous weather that they are calling for (38-41*C). I don’t think I’ve ever felt that kind of heat in my life. EVER. One thing is for sure – this Canadian girl will NOT be running outside because there is a 99% chance I will die. I have two training runs to do while I’m there so it’s going to be all about the hotel treadmill. My plan is to go as soon as they open at 6am so that I can still have my whole day ahead of me.
I got to choose my very own photo for the cover and design the layout of the inside exactly how I wanted. I do record all of my training in a Google spreadsheet so that my coach can see what I’m doing, but I’ve always been the type of person that needs to write things down. I love flipping through the pages, adding up my mileage, and writing down every detail of my workouts. There’s something about seeing it on paper versus seeing it on a screen!!
Anyway, Lisa from Personal Planner reached out to me again and gave me the opportunity to design one for back-to-school/work. Since I’m a teacher and I mentally start my years in September (instead of January), I was pretty pumped to order one of these again.
I went with the A5 this time around because for the school year, I like lots of space to write ALL THE THINGS.
I was going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to use a personal photo again but then I saw the new GOLD cover options on the site and had to go with one of those!
I went with solid gold for the back:
I set the inside up like this:
You can add up to three modules on the bottom. I chose just to have a to-do list and leave the other two blank with ruled lines for extra writing space. There were so many options depending on your personal weekly needs/preferences:
Then there are three sections of back pages that you can customize. I chose a combination of 2015/2016 overview (section 1), ruled sheets (section 2), and month overviews (section 3).
Last but not least, you can write whatever you want on the owner info page. I kept their suggestion as it was and then just added my personal info!
That’s it! I can’t believe it’s almost time to head back to work. Just 11 more days! But first…Vegas awaits!
Now I want one of YOU guys to have the opportunity to design one of these Personal Planners too. All you have to do is leave me a comment below telling me what excites you most about SEPTEMBER! For me, it’s my birthday month and I also really love the transition into fall fashion (hellooooo leggings and boots!)
Since I’ll be in Vegas next week (and most likely not blogging), I’ll be contacting the winner via email on Tuesday, September 1st. I’ll still have my phone with me so I will read all of the comments and randomly generate a winner via random.org!
