There are SO many October challenges going on and I don’t even know where to start or how many to join! I find it hard to keep up with more than one thing but there are too many good ones this month so I am going to have to make some serious decisions! One of the ones I noticed yesterday was The Eat Clean Diet’s CLEAN CARBS Challenge!! October is going to be focused on choosing Power Carbs. A challenge promoting carbs? Count me in!
As a vegetarian, carbs are my saving grace. I eat them all day and night. A lot of people give carbs a bad reputation because they associate the word with white bread, cookies, and candy. What we all need to realize is that good carbs exist! Fruit and veggies are carbs! You NEED carbs in you life. Don’t cut them out, just eat the right ones, okay?

Just like with the Strike Sugar Challenge, there is going to be a Clean Carb prize pack featuring David’s Tea, Sweet Pure Honey, and Oxygen Magazine. I started on the right track this morning with my oats and berries and the rest of the day followed suit!

OooOOO my favourite ultimate carb is hard, it is a toss between sweet potato and kale.

As I have become more of a vegetarian than a carnivore, I’m relying more and more on clean carbs. They keep me going…hello sweet potato, kale and cauliflower (that’s my new to go carb/veggie).
OATS! wow i definitely love those…so glad they are a good carb:)pretty much everything on the good side i absolutely love…i just love some on the other side equally as much so I gotta work on that;)
Hi! My name is Julie & I am a carbaholic! Seriously I don’t think I can pick a favorite one. Oatmeal and all kinds of fruits & veggies. Also pasta, which I try to only eat wheat pasta, but still I love it.
Ultimate favorite carb…… either bananas, mangoes or sweet potatoes. Unless I’m in North Carolina (where I’m from) then it’s biscuits or corn bread!
Sweet Potatoes are number one. Followed by Bananas!
This sounds like my kind of challenge- I am a carb fanatic! Fruit, veggies, grains… They’re all tasty to me and one of my favorite sources of fuel
Love this! As a runner carbs are my best friend. But I definitely agree that you gotta eat the good ones. I eat a lot of healthy carbs and they keep me energized and running happy.
