Ugi – “U got it. Show it off.” How fun is that motto??
Have you heard of the Ugi ball yet? I first heard about this piece of fitness equipment on the Bodyrock website. The hosts were incorporating it into their short and effective home workouts. I was curious so I did some research and read all about Ugi Fitness on their website. Lucky for me, I was selected to test and review my very own Ugi at Home System!
The weights range from 6-12lbs and I went with the 10lb one in turquoise. At first I thought that it was so light and there was no way I would get a good workout using it. Did I ever prove myself wrong! I flipped through the guide that came in my package and the number of exercises you can do with the Ugi is unbelievable! A DVD with five 30-minute workouts was also enclosed so I popped it into my laptop and got to work!
My Ugi ball might only be 10lbs but the workouts are killer. Both the guide and DVD include the same workouts so you don’t necessarily need both. If you don’t have access to a TV or laptop (if you’re travelling, for example), you can just bring the guide along with you. There are five different 30-minute workouts that target different muscle groups. Each workout includes 30 exercises that you do with the Ugi for one minute each. They were very easy to follow and I definitely felt the burn!
The Ugi workouts were definitely a lot more challenging than I expected (but I like it that way!). I like that the workouts are functional and combine strength, balance, cardio, and core training all at the same time. Bonus: they are only 30 minutes long.
