More DA Active and a reminder!

by Christina @ The Athletarian on July 27, 2012

A while back I did a review of some DA Active gear and talked about how in love I was with the product.  Alex from DA Active was so sweet and sent me a couple of new pieces from their summer line.

I received the Namaste Tank and the DA Hoodie.  The tank is the most comfortable thing ever.  I absolutely love the length.  It is form-fitting, but not too tight.  I also liked that it did not have a built-in sports bra.  A lot of my tops do, and though they are great, I sometimes like to have the option of wearing my own comfy sports bra underneath.  Since the tank has such a deep v-neck, you can have a lot of fun with colours.  I forgot to take a picture of the back but you need to see it.

How cute is that back detail?!

The jacket fits really well too.  I love the thumb holes and one of the sleeves also has a little zip pocket.  There are regular side pockets as well (with zippers!) so you don’t have to worry about anything falling out.  So convenient, especially when you don’t want to be carrying a bag.

These pieces get two thumbs up from me!  Thank you, Alex!

Now I have two important reminders for all of you!

1.  DA Active is having a contest and you need to enter here!  The winner gets a $500 shopping spree!!  Who wouldn’t want that?!

2.  I am giving away copies of Tosca Reno’s Eat Clean Diet Vegetarian Cookbook so make these easy pitas for a chance to win!

Do you own any DA Active?  Check out their website!

Do you prefer to work out in tanks or t-shirts?

I love to run in t-shirts but started to experiment with different tanks, I am beginning to love running in tanks.

hey Thanks for always posting up giveaways! Its always fun to “hope” to win. I cannot believe how buff and fit you have gotten over the past months. I was wondering how Dean and you eat protein given that you eat mostly veggies. Also, I am guessing that Dean eats a lot since he is a guy. My husband eats so much protein, but its also expensive. Any advice as to eat healthier, eat protein as well as feel full.

There are going to be a couple more so make sure you enter again!! I’m no that buff hahaha!! Maybe it’s just the pictures! Dean eats everything. His main sources of protein are chicken and salmon. He usually gets a big tray from Costco and freezes it to save some money. I actually don’t eat very much protein. I talked to my trainer about it and he said it was fine, I just need to keep satiated with healthy fats. So along with my fruits, veggies, and whole grains, I eat a lot of avocados, nuts, and nut butters. Feel free to email me if you want to ask any more questions!! I’d love to help :)

I used to work out a lot more in t-shirts when I went to the gym (thanks to the AC!), but now I wear tanks. I love the jacket, especially the thumb-holes. Too cute!

They certainly have cute stuff! The budget is tight looking forward to trying to buy a place and being in weddings – so no more buying workout apparel – I have enough though. Tanks are the only way to go for me!
