About a week and a half ago I talked about Powercakes’ June Powermeal a Day clean eating challenge. I have been participating in it every single day and posting my pictures to Instagram (the_athletarian) and Twitter. I thought I would do a round up in five day increments to let you all in on some of the fun!
Here are the first five days:
Day 1: eat a rainbow (romaine, corn, carrots, chickpeas, and strawberries)
Day 2: red (sundried tomatoes and grilled red peppers in my Beach Bowl from Fresh)
Day 3: orange (protein smoothie made with frozen mango, vega energizing smoothie (in tropical tango) and almond milk)
Day 4: green (edamame)
Day 5: blue (blue raspberry BCAAs)
Now about that intervention….
Lululemon owns me. I don’t even know what to do about it anymore. Their Speed Shorts are one of my most favourite items (I think I’m up to 10 pairs now) but now I’m starting to get hooked on their cropped pants.
The grey (Wee Are From Space Coal Fossil) ones are called the Dhanurasana Crop and the dark purple (concord grape) ones are called the Run: In the Sun Crop. Both are equally amazing. It’s hard to see the details on them in the above photos. The Dhanurasana Crops have a cute little keyhole detail at the bottom (right by the knee) and the Run: In the Sun Crops have got ruching all down the sides of the legs (you can see them up close here).
Since I’m in workout clothes more than I am in normal people clothes, I have rationalized that it just makes perfect sense to buy good quality and good looking gear for the gym. I think the feeling I get when I put on cute shorts or tights with a fun tank top is equivalent to the feeling some girls get when they put on a dress and heels! But that might just be because I can’t walk in heels.
